Since our inception in 1977, Mincey Marble has been committed to product innovation, exceptional customer service and design excellence. Our desire to advance our industry by incorporating the latest technological advancements and creating cutting edge design, is evident throughout our history.

Under the guidance of Kenneth and JoAnn Mincey, our company solidified our position as a national leader, first in the high end residential market then in the multi-family and hospitality industries.

Today, under the dynamic leadership of President and CEO, Donna Mincey, we re-commit ourselves to building on our founders’ vision and success, while moving forward as one of the industry’s most recognized and respected companies.

  • 1977

    August 17, Kenneth Mincey, with the support of his wife JoAnn and sons Kevin and Roger, opens a new manufacturing facility in Gainesville, GA, called Mincey Marble Manufacturing.
    The original building is a 3800 sq. ft. block building on 2 acres, located at 4321 Browns Bridge Road.
    Mold building begins immediately. Soon afterward vanity tops, standard non-jetted tubs and window sill production begins.
  • 1978

    Kenneth develops The Concorde, the first in our high end residential jetted whirlpool line. Several months later we begin manufacturing one-piece panel surrounds for the walls surrounding the whirlpool tubs in matching marbled patterns.

  • Best Manufacturer’s Display Award

    1979

    We exhibit in our first Atlanta homeshow and win 1st place for Best Manufacturer’s Display. This foreshadows Mincey’s emphasis on tradeshow’s and marketing.

  • 1980

    Mincey Marble cultured marble becomes the standard in the upscale Atlanta residential market. We move into the apartment and townhouse markets.
    Mincey Marble cultured marble becomes the standard Kenneth’s daughter Donna joins the company.
  • 28,000 sq. ft. expansion

    1983

    Kenneth does our first expansion, adding 28,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and does a "face-lift" to the front of the offices.
  • Introduction of Custom Shower Pans

    1984

    Our shower pan portfolio expands as we introduce custom pans.

  • First Product Catalog

    1985

    Donna writes, designs and releases the first Mincey Marble product catalog.

  • Kenneth and JoAnn Mincey

    1987

    Mincey Marble Celebrates 10 year anniversary
    Kenneth and JoAnn accept the award for The Most Informative Booth of the year from the National Homebuilders Association.
  • A New Innovative Conveyor System

    1988

    Kenneth designs, builds and installs a new innovative conveyor system for the set-up department. This cuts production and lead time in half.

  • Mincey Bath Installation

    1990

    The Mincey’s announce the decision to begin moving away from the individual residential market.
    The Mincey Family accepts the award for The Most Beautiful and Most Informative Booth.
    Roger leaves Mincey Marble and opens an installation company called Mincey Bath Installation.
  • Panel Facility

    1994

    Mincey Marble becomes a specified supplier to Marriott International.
    Kenneth purchases property a mile from main plant and opens a second manufacturing facility exclusively for panel surrounds.
  • Softball Champions

    1995

    Designed and released first product brochure for Marriott
    Becomes a specified supplier for 6 Continents Hotels. 6 Continents is the first company to take advantage of Mincey Marble’s ability to design and produce products in-house. Kenneth designs a door-less, walk-in shower pan and asymmetrical vanity top with integral apron for their Holiday Inn Select brand.

  • MINCOR™

    1996

    Develops and releases MINCOR™ our Class A fire and smoke rated product line – per the ASTM e84 tunnel test.

  • NAHB "Member of the Year" Award

    1997

    We celebrate our 20th anniversary
    We make a complete move from the high end residential industry into the hospitality marketplace
    MINCOR™ becomes a requirement for all Marriott Hotel brands
    Kenneth is honored as "Member of the Year" by the National Association of Homebuilders
  • 40" Curved Front Vanity

    1998

    We become a specified supplier for Hilton Hotels. We design a special 40" curved front vanity top with integral apron for their Hilton Garden Inn brand.

    1999

    We introduce our new corporate logo

  • New Web Site Launched

    2000

    Launches a newly designed website which grows into a nationally known source for brand specification information.

     

    Enters into the hospitality tradeshow arena.

  • 9/11

    2001

    Kenneth completes a 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing addition just before the 9/11 tragedy hits and the economy weakens.
    Introduced and launched the Diamond pattern line of tub and shower surrounds.
  • Simulated Tile line of tub and shower surrounds

    2002

    Introduced and launched the Simulated Tile line of tub and shower surrounds.

  • Make It Hampton

    2003

    Hilton Hotels specifies our Diamond panel surrounds and several shower pans for their Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn and Suites and Homewood Suites brands. Due to Hilton’s "Make It Hampton" program which introduced showers as a standard in their King rooms, Mincey’s shower pan production begins to soar.
     
  • The Old World Classic Series

    2004

    Donna designs and introduces the first of our "textured/patterned" line "The Old World Classic Series" tub and shower surround series. It immediately becomes specified by Hotel Sierra.

  • Old World Classic and 3x6 Subway

    2005

    The new textured/patterned surrounds become quite a hit in the hospitality world. Mincey realizes that the future of these designs is unlimited and begins to design more of them.
    Hilton offers upgrade package for Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites to the Old World Classic Series.
    Mincey introduces the new Vintage Series product line with the release of the 3" x 6" Subway pattern and expanded the Simulated Tile line with the addition of the 6" x 6".
  • Vintage 3 x 6 with River Rock listello

    2006

    Mincey becomes specified by Starwood Hotels for their Four Points by Sheraton brand.
    Marriott specifies the 3" x 6" Subway surrounds for all FairField Inn’s.
    Carlson Hotels specifies the Simulated Tile Series for their Country Inn & Suites brand.
    We design the 3" x 6" Subway with River Rock listello and the 2" x 2" Curved Tumbled Stone Custom shower pan for Hotel Indigo by IHG.
    We design and launch a complete line of Custom Shower Pans.
    We expand the Vintage and Old World Classic Series of tub and shower surrounds line with the addition of 6" x 10" Bordeaux and 13" x 20" Staggered Stone.
  • The Vision series of surrounds with the 6 x 24 Horizontal pattern

    2007

    Celebrates 30 year anniversary
    With the introduction of the 6" x 24" Vision pattern, Donna launches The Vision Series, a textured, block pattern line of tub and shower surrounds.
    The Vintage Series expands with the release of the 6” x 10” Bordeaux, available in both matte and gloss finishes.
    We become specified for aloft Hotels by Starwood and design a brand specific shower pan and color for aloft.
  • Mincey begins construction of the first ever major office expansion

    2008

    Kenneth begins construction of the first ever major office expansion.
    Hilton Hotels specifies the 6" x 24" Vison pattern for their Homewood Suites brand.
    Marriott specified the 6" x 24" Vision for SpringHill Suites.
    Mincey Marble launches a new e-marketing program.
  • 2009

    Kenneth and Donna announce the decision to begin marketplace expansion.
    Doug Westmoreland joins our team as our VP of Business Development.
    Develops and launches "Bamboo" and "Mirage" which expands the Vision Series.
    We move into our new office facility.
  • 2010

    Introduced the Contemporary Series tub and shower surrounds line with the design and launch of the 12" x 12"

    2011

    Mincey re-designs and launches a new corporate logo.
    Awarded a national renovation contract for Candlewood Suites.
    Becomes a specified supplier to Hyatt Place by Hyatt

    2012

    After 35 years, Kenneth announces his retirement and Donna steps in to fill the role of President and CEO. Mincey Marble becomes a Women Owned Small Business
    Launches a newly re-designed and expanded website.
    Begins selling Shower Enclosures
    Launches the new Trench Drain Shower Pan line
    Become an Endorsed Supplier for Wingate by Wyndham, Hyatt House by Hyatt
    Becomes IAPMO certified in the US
    Begins shipping department expansion

    Jim Huddleston joins our team as VP of Operations
    Become IAPMO certified in Canada
    Add an additional 30,000 sq ft warehouse

    Becomes a specified supplier to LaQuinta Hotels
    Becomes a specified supplier to Hotel Indigo by InterContinental Hotels Group
    Begins construction on new manufacturing addition. With this addition our production area will contain over 200,000 sq. ft. of space.
    Celebrated pouring over 20,000,000 lbs of material, setting a new manufacturing record.

    2017

    Celebrates 40th Anniversary!
    January 25th - During Kenneth's 82nd birthday celebration, he, Donna and Kevin announce that Mincey Marble will be moving from its 40 year home on Brown Bridge Road. Plans are put in place to build a new, 375,000 sq. ft., state of the art, production facility and corporate headquarters.
